“Triptychon” is composed of three simultaneous films: On the left there is the utopian metropole “Crystal City”, a neighborhood kept free of dust under extraordinary efforts. Here dust is studied, sorted and finally transformed into crystal – according to the production of microchips from sand or to the alchemical philosopher´s stone.
In the middle “Opus Magnum” consists of recordings in clean rooms of the semiconductor industy. This film appears as ghost with cinematic dust jittering on top of it in various ways. On the right “Materia Prima” shows a deserted basement room. Way beyond human influence it is slowly reconquered by dust. |
