Different Planes (2006)

“Different Planes” shows a girl sitting in the flickering light of a television, staring into infinity. Ceaselessly airplanes appear in the foreground, heading towards the girl. They distort the image of the girl, as if she was located beyond an invisible membrane of water. Although the airplanes become smaller and smaller on their way towards the girl's head they still don´t seem to get any closer to her.
Fragments of international longwave broadcasts are heard all along and reflect the coverage of the first night of the afghanistan war in 2001.
