Thought Absorber (2008)

The Thought Absorber is an exploratory setup. The experiment´s goal is the absorption and skeletisation of thoughts emitted by present visitors to analyse their structures free of contaminations by content. The heart of the device is a hermetic forced-feedback chamber that consists of four flatscreens on its sides (looking inward) and as many cameras underneath (each focusing on its opposing screen).
The other part is an array of galvanic flasks underneath the ceiling filled with a cogniphage liquid to bind thoughts. Flexible tubes let the liquid run very slowly through the feedback chamber on microscopic slides, where the sceletized thoughts are collected drop by drop.
